Voters get the government they demand. They simply cannot mentally manuver themselves into a position where they feel comfortable voting for Democrats. For one contingent of voters, Democrats aren't partisan enough, for another, they are too partisan. While Democratic politicians most certainly have their problems, problems that are perhaps even systematically atributable to their party itself, they are a viable alternative. They are the only viable alternative at this point. Therefore, blame for the current state of affairs must be blamed on those who are unwilling to vote for Democrats. The blame cannot be placed on those.
